1964–1966 Engineering and design in a big chemical plant (Bayer)
1966–1979 Engineering, construction and start up of various projects
in a big food processing company ( starch and glucose
manufacturing,Cerestar). Development of a new wheat starch
technology as leading process engineer.
Before 1980 first successful lab. trials.
Optimisation (Yields,energy,quality,manpower,capacity increase)
in a big corn starch plant. (Cerestar)
1980 –1984 Project manager in Cerestar for a grass root wheat starch project
in Germany 200 t/day wheat. Process based on above mentioned
lab. trials. First total closed wheat starch plant worldwide .
99.5 % total yield saleable products. More than 50 % starch yield
based on wheat.(not flour)
1985 –1986 Project manager for a big corn starch plant capacity increase and
modernisation project in England (Cerestar) including start up
1987 > Take over of the position of engineering manager in Cerestar
for whole Germany with the responsibility for engineering
projects of 50-70 mio DM /year in average. All projects were
done with own engineering teams
1990–1994 Project manager in Cerestar for a grass root wheat starch and
glucose plant in east Germany (1200 t/day wheat ,200 mio €).
Execution with a small Cerestar engineering team and the help
of an engineering company.Project from basic design until
1995–1997 Return to engineering manager Cerestar Germany.
1997 –2001 Project manager for Cerestar in China Province Jilin for a grass
root corn starch and glucose/dextrose plant.(1000 t/day corn,
200 mio US $) Execution with a small Cerestar europe
engineering team and a chinese design institut. Project
from basic design until (including) start up.
2002> Return to Germany, position of engineering manager in Germany
was not free anymore. Just before the return Cerestar got sold
to an US company (Cargill) Only minor work due to organisation
